Take a ferry trip to the island, either from Castletownbere with Colm Harrington or from the Pontoon with Patrick Murphy. On the way over you will lots of maritime things of interest like a wreck, lighthouse, buoys, and being on the water will give you a new perspective of Berehaven |

Garnish has some great sandy beaches. Take the road from Castletownbere to Dursey, you come to a sharp left bend and shortly after take the turn to the right and you will find the beaches waiting for you to enjoy |

Walking. There are several great walks to be had in the Allihies area. You can take the Beara Way up the Mines Road and view the village from on high, and see the remains of the old mines. There is a lovely coastal walk to Garnish. You can also go up Gour where the radio masts are for a grand view of the area |
