Blackball Head Blackball Head

In 2006 the 200th anniversary of the building of the Signal Towers was held, with fire lit at each of the towers from Malin Head in Northern Donegal round the coast to Dublin. The picture above left shows the fire at Blackball Head being lit. A plaque was unveiled and a talk given by a member of the Beara Historical Society
