Lawrence Cove. Murphy's Ferries from the Pontoon arrive here giving the visitor just a short walk to the village. Lawrence Cove Lodge is the first building, with the Post Office in the distance. You can begin walking the Beara Way here or at the Western End of the island where the Harrington Ferry docks
	One of the two 6 inch guns at the Lonehort Fort Battery at the east end of the island. There was one 9 inch gun at the fort but this no longer exists. You can make out the second 6 inch gun in the background of this picture with Berehaven and Hungry Hill beyond.
It is hoped the largely overgrown Battery will be restored to its former self and opened to the public. At present it is behind padlocked gates. You can still walk to the gates along the Beara Way and get a fairly good view, especially of the massive dry moat
	Lonehort Harbour is a short distance from the Battery on the south side of the island, an ancient Viking settlement it is a stunning place of natural beauty
As you continue along the Beara Way on your right you will see this large pile of flagstones resembling a Wedge Grave

Signal Tower

The ruins of the old Signal Tower. They were built in line of sight of the next one, the next one to the south was on Sheeps Head, and to the west is Blackball Head

Martello Tower

Ardagh Martello Tower

This Martello Tower is open to the public. You can go inside and climb the narrow stone stairs up to the roof. It has commanding views of Berehaven and Lawrence Cove, The Beara Way passes right beside it after you have climbed the hill from Lawrence Cove

Cloughland Martello Tower

There are two Martello Towers on the island. This is on the south side of the island. The Beara Way goes most of the way to it

Ardnakinna lighthouse. The Way passes this lighthouse at the western end of the island, beware of the dangerous cliffs if you walk there. His guide book tells you how to get to them and also information on their position, range of light etc
