‘Christmas Lucky Dip Show’
@ The Carnegie Arts Centre
Once again this year in December we will host our ‘Christmas Lucky Dip Show’. This is a show with a difference as all of the artists whose work is on show will be kept anonymous, and the show will include work from some very well-known recognized artists both local and from further afield, BUT, also from any member of the public, including schools, who would like to take part and would like their work to be a part of this exciting exhibition.
There are three strict guidelines:
- – work should be no bigger than 6 by 8 inches
- - no signatures
3 - all work unframed
Works can be in any medium – photography, paintings, collage, poetry – There is no fixed theme, the only limitation is the size.
There will be the same fixed price on each piece, not exceeding €30.
All pieces will be for sale and the artist will effectively be donating their work to the Carnegie as this is a fund raiser to continue the visual arts programme here.
The works will, we hope, make the perfect Christmas Gift for many of those people who are otherwise hard to buy for…
So, if you have ever fancied the idea of having your work on display in a public exhibition, alongside renowned professional artists, now is your chance. Everybody is good enough.
We are hoping to have the opening of the exhibition on Wednesday the 30th of November, and therefore will need to get your work in on Saturday the 26th of November.

This is an open submission exhibition, meaning that all works will be accepted unless they are deemed inappropriate by The Carnegie Arts Centre. |
